Student Line of Credit

Every major bank offers student loans, known as Student Line of Credits, for college tuition. 

The great advantage of these loans is their low interest rates. They also only require interest-only contributions until 1-year post-graduation.

Homeowner Line of Credit

If you own a home, let it help you start a new career! 

You can use the equity you have built up as a cost-effective way to help you start school.

RRSPs (LLP)

The Lifelong Learning Plan allows you to withdraw money from your RRSPs to finance your education or that of your spouse or common-law partner.  You can withdraw up to $10,000 annually, up to a maximum of $20,000. You can visit the Canada Revenue Agency for more information.

Registered Education Savings Plans (RESP)

If you or your family has a family Registered Education Savings Plan, you can use those funds to cover education costs. For more information, please go to the Canada Revenue Agency.

Windmill Microlending

Career City College has partnered with Windmill Microlending, a national charity, to provide affordable loans to fund professional licensing, training and qualifying exams for skilled immigrants and refugees.

Windmill’s microloans can fund costs of up to $15,000, with no Canadian credit history required. Contact us for more information.

Monthly Payment Plans

Our skilled advisors will be able to structure a payment plan for you. 

A successful payment plan will allow you to pay your tuition during the course of your studies.

Employer Training Job Grants

Provincial governments partner with eligible employers to help fund their employees continuing education. Your employer may cover up to 80% of your costs through the job grant!*

Employment Insurance (EI)

Are you on EI, or have you been in the last three years? 

You may be eligible for up to $7,500+ towards training in BC. For further details and to check your eligibility, please visit the Government of Canada.

WorkSafe BC

If you are an injured worker, you may qualify for assistance through WSBC.

WorkSafeBC will fund the education of participants in their Vocational Rehabilitation program if they meet specific requirements.

Aboriginal, First Nations, or Inuit Band Funding

Are you Métis, First Nations or Inuit? You may be eligible for funds towards training!

Taxes

To assist you in affording your tuition, we do not charge tax on our tuition. We also issue Federal T2202A Tuition Tax Receipts so you can receive a tax credit for your tuition!
